Disclosure
How this website makes money, stated plainly, on its own page rather than in a footnote.
The short version
Tessera may receive a commission when someone registers with a brand after following a link from this website. That costs you nothing, it is the only way this website is funded, and it does not determine what we write or the order in which brands appear.
How the arrangement works
Some links to brands on this website are referral links. If you follow one and go on to register with that brand, we may receive a commission from the brand. The link carries a parameter identifying us as the source so that the referral can be attributed; it does not transmit personal information about you from us.
You are never charged anything as a result. The terms you receive from a brand are identical whether you arrive through a link here or by typing the brand's address directly.
How links are marked
- Referral links carry the
rel="sponsored"attribute in the page markup, as search engines require. - Every promotional panel on this website carries a disclosure note directly beneath it.
- Links to support organisations and to reference material are never referral links and carry no commercial arrangement whatsoever.
What a commercial arrangement does not buy
- Editorial position. The order brands appear in is our own judgement. No brand can pay to be placed higher, and none has.
- Favourable wording. The things we note as worth keeping in mind are published whether or not a commercial arrangement exists with that brand.
- Pre-publication review. No brand sees, approves or amends a page about it before we publish it.
- Exclusion of criticism. A commission arrangement has never been a reason to remove or soften a point, and will not be.
- Coverage itself. Brands are covered because they are relevant to the category, not because an arrangement exists.
Where an offer has not been confirmed
We publish promotional wording only as the brand supplies it. Where an offer has not been confirmed to us in writing, the panel says that the details are pending rather than showing an estimated or borrowed figure. This category changes terms frequently, and a stale promotional number is worse than none.
What we are not
Tessera does not host any casino-style entertainment, does not process payments, and does not distribute virtual currency. We publish explanatory reference material only. We are not an operator, an agent of any brand, or a party to any sweepstakes. We cannot access accounts, resolve support questions or influence a redemption decision — see contact for what to do instead.
Independence in practice
The practical test of any disclosure statement is whether the website reads differently from one without it. Ours is written so that the free entry routes appear as prominently as the paid ones, that the things worth watching are stated alongside the strengths, and that no page implies an outcome the model does not offer. If we ever fail that test, we would rather hear about it: editorial@tesserasweepstakes.com.
Play for fun only. No cash prizes.
Tessera covers entertainment-only sweepstakes and social casino brands. No real money wagering takes place on the brands described here, and nothing on this website offers cash, cash-equivalent credits, or prizes that can be sold or traded for money. No purchase is necessary to enter or participate. A purchase will not increase your chances of receiving promotional entries. Free entry methods, including mail-in requests, are available from every sweepstakes brand covered here.
