Tessera does not run a sweepstakes. This page explains the rules that govern the brands we describe, and which document actually binds when sources disagree.

Tessera does not operate any sweepstakes, promotion or contest. We do not distribute virtual currency, hold accounts, process payments or determine redemption eligibility. Every sweepstakes referred to here is operated by the brand concerned, under that brand's own official rules, which are the only binding document.
The principles that apply across the category
No purchase necessary
No purchase is necessary to enter or participate. A purchase will not increase your chances of receiving promotional entries. Free entry methods, including mail-in requests, are available from every sweepstakes brand covered here. This is not a courtesy extended by generous brands; it is the structural requirement that allows the category to operate as a sweepstakes at all.
A chance, not a promise
Promotional entries offer a chance to become eligible for prize redemption. Eligibility is never guaranteed, and outcomes are determined by the rules each brand publishes. Minimum age
You must be 18 or older — or the minimum legal age in your jurisdiction, whichever is higher — to create an account with any brand described on this website. Age requirements are set by jurisdiction and enforced by the brand at registration and again at redemption.
Jurisdictional eligibility
Availability is set state by state and province by province, and it changes. As of mid-2026, the category was available in 31 US states and in every Canadian province and territory except Ontario and Quebec. See where it works for the detail, and confirm with the brand before registering.
No cash or cash-equivalent prizes from us
Tessera does not offer cash, virtual currency, credits redeemable for cash, or any prize that can be sold or traded for money — including merchandise, tickets or in-brand items. Nothing on this website is a promotion of ours.
Where to find a brand's official rules
Every legitimate sweepstakes brand publishes a complete set of official rules, usually linked from the footer of its own website. They will cover, at minimum:
- Eligibility — which states and provinces, and the minimum age.
- Entry routes, including the free postal request method and any limits on it.
- The redemption threshold and how it is calculated.
- Verification requirements before any redemption is processed.
- Processing timetables and any conditions attached.
- Circumstances in which entries may be voided or an account closed.
When sources disagree, the rules govern
Promotional material, third-party summaries and this website are all secondary. If anything here conflicts with a brand's current official rules, the official rules apply and ours are wrong — tell us at editorial@tesserasweepstakes.com and we will correct the page.
What makes a sweepstakes structure valid
Three elements have to be present together. Remove any one and the arrangement becomes something else, regulated differently:
